Samantha Kachmar was a late bloomer and didn’t choose to go to school until after she had her children. In May of 2009 Samantha graduated from Community College of Vermont with a degree in Human Services. Samantha’s focus during her educational experience and since attaining her degree has been on children and families. Samantha was a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor with WIC for 3 years and attained a Certification in Lactation Counseling during that time. In December of 2009, Samantha started as an intern with Charter House Coalition. Samantha’s position with Charter House Coalition has evolved to meet the growing needs of the community we serve. Samantha’s favorite part of being involved with Charter is the genuine sense of neighbor helping neighbor that permeates the entire organization and informs each decision made.
Samantha lives in Addison with her husband Mike and their children Rebecca and Andrew (their oldest Britney has flown the nest). In her spare time Samantha enjoys volunteering with her church, her children’s school, running, hiking and spending time with family.
