Food Programs Manager and Shelter Operations Assistant

This staff person will be responsible for: (1) overseeing the preparation of Community Lunches in collaboration with volunteers and other staff; (2) maintaining supplies and ServeSafe practices in the kitchen; (3) additional shelter operations.  Pre-requisites include hands on experience in serving 50 or more meals in a commercial or institutional kitchen, proven track record in managing part time staff, experience with standard computer software, and a strong desire to support individuals who are homeless or food insecure.  Experience in social services is helpful. The position will start at 25 hours per week and has the potential to grow to full time. Some flexibility with work hours is possible; availability on evenings and weekends is helpful.   

Client Support Services Manager

This staff person will be responsible for: (1) conducting trauma informed interviews on barriers to securing stable housing with several clients each week; (2) entering data from interviews in a Statewide database; (3) tracking of all interviews and follow-ups to interviews; (4) representing Charter House Coalition at weekly meetings of local social services partners committed to providing support services to those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless; (5) maintaining a secure list of local individuals and families needing assistance with securing stable housing; (6) staffing our Day Station one shift per week; (7) conducting intake for the shelter operations two evenings per week.    Prerequisites include considerable experience or training in data entry and social services, demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, and commitment to serve homeless individuals and families. Training in trauma informed practices for interviewing is desirable. The position will start at 30 hours per week and has the potential to expand to full time. Work hours have and require some flexibility.
