It is staffed 24/7 by trained volunteers who provide a warm, welcoming environment for families in stress. Charter House Coalition works closely with HOPE, the Parent Child Center, John Graham Shelter, Turning Point Center, Addison Country Community Trust, CVOEO, Pathways, Mary Johnson Children's Center, Women Safe, and Counseling Services of Addison County to assist residents in finding appropriate jobs, housing, counseling, educational opportunities and childcare.

 North Pleasant St. Community Housing

These five fully-furnished apartments are open all year to help families transition into independent housing. The complex is located at 39 North Pleasant Street, two blocks north of the Charter House. The typical duration of residency is 6 to 18 months.

Farm-to-Table, one of Charter House Coalition's newest projects, grows and distributes About 5000 pounds of fresh produce each year. Volunteers work on donated land at the Nash Farm in New Haven.

After harvest, the produce is used in Charter House Coalition's food programs, donated to local food shelves and made available to those who attend the Community Suppers and Community Lunches.

Farm-to-Table brings fresh, local produce to those who need food assistance and teaches environmentally responsible farming and food preservation techniques to volunteers.
